This research aims to study and develop real-time immersive visualizations tools in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality that can communicate the relationship of water quality data and its immediate environment. Immersive and location-based information visualization methods applied to water quality sensing have the potential to encourage public engagement and contribute to the reduction of anthropogenic pollutants. The goal is to raise the environmental literacy of the general population regarding water issues surrounding Miami River and the city of Miami.
